Why Toronto City Hall Was Perfect For Olivia & Alex

Olivia & Alex wanted a wedding day that felt authentic and true to them. Nothing too big, just a meaningful ceremony surrounded by love. Toronto City Hall was the perfect spot, offering a modern setting in the heart of the city.

Capturing the Day on Film & Digital

One of the things that made this wedding so special was documenting it on both film and digital. Film photography brings out the textures, soft tones, and emotion in a way that feels timeless. For quick ceremony coverage and candid moments, digital allowed me to capture every glance and smile without missing a beat.

The Ceremony at City Hall

The ceremony took place in the City Hall Wedding Chambers, which are bright, modern rooms. Olivia and Alex exchanged heartfelt vows which had everyone in the room tearing up. They then exchanged rings, and a kiss before stepping out as newlyweds.

Portraits Around Nathan Phillips Square & Downtown Toronto

After the ceremony, we explored Nathan Phillips Square for portraits. The minimalism and the curved architecture offered so many creative possibilities for wedding portraits. We had a lot of fun after their ceremony exploring the space and making creative portraits.

Favourite Film Moments

After finishing up portraits at City Hall, we walked a short distance away so that Olivia & Alex could get some bubble tea. We took some fun photos along the way and I, of course, had to take portraits of them with their drinks!
