The Algonquin Island Association Clubhouse is located on Algonquin Island, which is a part of Toronto’s Centre Island. This venue can be reached by both water taxi, as well as the city run ferry. This venue functions primarily as an event space for the local residents of Centre Island, however they also host events. Located right on the northern edge of Algonquin Island this venue has a lawn which offers spectacular views of the Toronto Skyline. The highlight of the view is watching the sunset right over the city. With the Clubhouse being painted a vibrant blue, and the natural beauty of the view this wedding day was a treat to capture on 35mm film!

Emily & Mac’s vision for their wedding day was a laid back garden party. Their wish was to be as present on their wedding day as possible, having fun with all their loved ones. The AIA Clubhouse has a very cosy feeling to it, which was went together really well with Emily & Mac’s garden party wedding. The ceremony space also doubled as a lawn so that their guests could spend some time outside, and see the sunset over the Toronto skyline. Their reception seating in the Clubhouse really allowed everyone to sit close together with the couple right in the middle of everyone. Emily & Mac did a wonderful job of crafting a wedding day that was perfect for them. Here are some fun moments from their wedding day.
Photographing on film is a core part of my creative process, which means that I use film at every wedding I photograph. For Emily & Mac’s wedding day, I used a mix of black and white and colour to capture as many candid moments as I could throughout the day. The focus for their film photos was on the in-between moments of the day. Here are some of my favourites.
If my work resonated with you, and you want your wedding memories captured authentically on film, I would love to chat! You can get in touch here: Contact Me
With all that being said, here is the story of Emily & Mac’s wedding day at the Algonquin Island Association Clubhouse, told through images.
