Jesse & Mike had a beautiful floral wedding ceremony at Spadina Museum; followed up by a french inspired, sophisticated reception at Le Select Bistro. We started the day off at Spadina Museum where they were surrounded by their family helping them get ready for the big day. The gardens at Spadina Museum were in full bloom and you could feel the excitement in the air. As their friends and family arrived, they were seated right in front of the beautifully manicured garden. Jesse and Mike are avid gardeners, so getting married around so much beautiful greenery was their dream come true. Their wedding day was captured on both digital and film photographs.

Why Spadina Museum was perfect for Jesse & Mike
Jesse & Mike’s vision for their wedding day was for it to feel as if they were in a fairy tale. Spadina Museum was the perfect venue to make their visions a reality. The 19th century mansion is beautiful in its own right, but the magical gardens that surround it are what truly elevate the space into the realm of fairy tales. With the garden in full bloom and lovely overcast weather, I took great joy in photographing such a beautiful wedding day.
Favourite Moments Captured on Film
I’m always taking images on film, regardless of how long I’m at a wedding day. It’s a core part of my process as a creative, and allows me to create the images that I do. For Jesse & Mike, I chose to use 120 film for their portrait session to really bring out the beautiful colours of the garden at Spadina Museum. Here are some of my favourite captures on film!
